Finally Saw My Classroom!!!

This past Friday I was finally able to make it out to see my classroom for the first time!  It is a very good size room and has a Promethean board!  I have now started thinking about how I would like to decorate my room (and the 8 bulletin boards).  I have decided to do a Snoopy/Peanuts theme and ordered the materials necessary for that. 

While there, I also looked at apartments.  I picked out an apartment and sent the application back to hopefully get that apartment.  The apartment would also allow me to bring my puppy Shadow with me.  I can't believe it is less than a month before I will be moving and starting to get everything ready for the school year to begin!

Exciting Times!

I just accepted my first teaching job yesterday!  I will be teaching 3rd grade in Appleton, MN this fall (and hopefully for a couple years in the future at least).  Now comes the fun times of finding a place to live and everything else that goes along with it. 

This summer I am excited to actually enjoy my summer since last summer was spent interviewing.  I can spend the entire week on vacation with my family (and hit up the tupperware booth at the flea market) and just enjoy my summer and get ready for next year.  I am planning on heading to the Minnesota Zoo sometime this summer and many other things as well.  Here is to hoping for a great time!!
